Are Kiwi Classic shirts easy care?

Yes. Kiwi Classic shirts are designed to be easy-care and low-maintenance. The fabric is our own custom weave, designed to our specs to be lightweight, comfortable and travel-friendly, making it ideal for everyday wear, holidays and special occasions. Simply wash, hang and wear, with minimal effort required to keep your shirt looking great.

Do Kiwi Classic shirts need ironing?

Most customers find little or no ironing is required. Kiwi Classic shirts are made from easy-care fabric that resists creasing and travels exceptionally well. For best results, remove your shirt promptly after washing and hang it to dry. A light touch-up iron can be used if desired, but many customers simply wash, hang and wear.

What is the difference between Tailored Fit and Relaxed Fit?

Our Tailored Fit has a more shaped silhouette with a curved hem for a smarter, more streamlined look and two side back pleats. Our Relaxed Fit offers extra room through the chest and waist with a straight hem for easy everyday wear, and one center box pleat. If you prefer a roomier fit, choose Relaxed. Are Kiwi Classic shirts limited edition?

Many Kiwi Classic designs are produced in limited runs and may not be repeated once sold through. This helps keep our collections fresh and allows us to continually showcase new artwork from New Zealand artists. If you've found a design you love, we recommend securing it while your size is available.

Kiwi Classic shirts are available in a wide range of sizes, from XS through to 4XL in selected styles. We offer both Tailored Fit (XS–3XL) and Relaxed Fit (S–4XL) options to help you find the most comfortable fit for your body shape and style preference. About the Artist

KAURI PRINT by Alana Spivey.

Alana has created a design that is representative of the Kauri’s textural leaves and overlapping branches. The branches dance around each other, like the canopy of the forest on a windy day.

Alana Spivey is a textile design graduate from Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand.

Originally from the Hawke’s Bay, Alana grew up amid her mothers’ dressmaking business. Constantly observing her mother at work gave her a strong foundation in designer-making and attention for detail.

Years spent travelling the world opened Alana’s mind to different ways of design and life, which has influenced the way that she approaches her work and new challenges that come her way.

Having worked in the retail fashion sector both here in New Zealand and overseas, Alana was delighted to see fashion brand, Kaleo, open in Kerikeri, the town that she now calls home.

Alana has always been drawn to botanicals, from gardening, to using plants for natural dye, and all forms of artwork. The Kauri tree is a giant of the forest, holding a lot of significance to many and an icon of the Northland region. Together with Christine, Alana has created a design that is representative of the Kauri’s textural leaves and overlapping branches. The branches dance around each other, like the canopy of the forest on a windy day.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping:

We process orders within 24–48 hours of receipt and dispatch on the next postal business day. All parcels are sent with tracking, and tracking details will be provided by email once your order has been shipped.

Please ensure your delivery address is entered correctly. If no one is available at the delivery address, the courier may leave the parcel in a safe place at their discretion. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed once your parcel has been dispatched with the courier. Kaleo Designs is not liable for delays, loss, damage, or parcels delivered to an incorrectly supplied address.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you are not completely happy with your purchase, items may be returned in new, unworn condition with original tags attached within 30 days of purchase for an exchange or refund to the original payment method.

Exchanges are permitted one time only per order/item. For customers within New Zealand, the exchange will be re-sent at no additional shipping cost. Any further exchange requests will be at the cost of the customer. Please check availability of exchanged product prior to returning product to us, or call us.

Refunds will be issued less any original shipping costs incurred by Kaleo Designs in sending your order, plus a $15 processing fee.
