Are Kiwi Classic shirts easy care?

Yes. Kiwi Classic shirts are designed to be easy-care and low-maintenance. Do Kiwi Classic shirts need ironing?

Most customers find little or no ironing is required. Kiwi Classic shirts are made from easy-care fabric that resists creasing and travels exceptionally well. For best results, remove your shirt promptly after washing and hang it to dry. A light touch-up iron can be used if desired, but many customers simply wash, hang and wear.

What is the difference between Tailored Fit and Relaxed Fit?

Our Tailored Fit has a more shaped silhouette with a curved hem for a smarter, more streamlined look and two side back pleats. Our Relaxed Fit offers extra room through the chest and waist with a straight hem for easy everyday wear, and one center box pleat. If you prefer a roomier fit, choose Relaxed. Many Kiwi Classic designs are produced in limited runs and may not be repeated once sold through. Kiwi Classic shirts are available in a wide range of sizes, from XS through to 4XL in selected styles. We offer both Tailored Fit (XS–3XL) and Relaxed Fit (S–4XL) options to help you find the most comfortable fit for your body shape and style preference. About the Artist

"This plant has a strong association with coastal New Zealand for me. I painted the original motifs in ink to capture the movement of how the plant sways in the breeze."

I was fortunate enough to discover my love of drawing and painting at art class in high school and felt drawn to pursue an artistic career. I moved from the family farm where I was raised to Auckland to study graphic design at Auckland Institute of Technology. My first creative jobs were in home decor, painting ceramics for several Auckland tableware companies. I loved seeing how a decorative design could sell a product. In 2014, after about a decade in the graphic design field, I got re-acquainted with the field of surface pattern design and since then have had some wonderful opportunities to develop my work in this direction. I love going for walks in nature and my patterns often get inspired by what I discover there. I observe and photograph plants that catch my eye, and if possible collect specimens to draw back in my studio.

This plant has a strong association with coastal New Zealand for me. I painted the original motifs in ink to capture the movement of how the plant sways in the breeze. And this colourway is inspired by the rose gold iridescence the plumes often have in the sunlight. The leaves of the Toe Toe were used to make baskets and mats and the long stems were used to insulate the walls of homes. Toetoe also had medicinal uses.

We process orders within 24–48 hours of receipt and dispatch on the next postal business day. All parcels are sent with tracking, and tracking details will be provided by email once your order has been shipped.

Please ensure your delivery address is entered correctly. If no one is available at the delivery address, the courier may leave the parcel in a safe place at their discretion. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed once your parcel has been dispatched with the courier. Kaleo Designs is not liable for delays, loss, damage, or parcels delivered to an incorrectly supplied address.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you are not completely happy with your purchase, items may be returned in new, unworn condition with original tags attached within 30 days of purchase for an exchange or refund to the original payment method.

Exchanges are permitted one time only per order/item. For customers within New Zealand, the exchange will be re-sent at no additional shipping cost. Any further exchange requests will be at the cost of the customer. Please check availability of exchanged product prior to returning product to us, or call us.

Refunds will be issued less any original shipping costs incurred by Kaleo Designs in sending your order, plus a $15 processing fee.
